FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between light filtering and blackout roller shades?
Light-filtering roller shades let natural light through while offering varying levels of privacy, depending on the fabric's thickness and opacity. While most fabrics provide complete privacy, some may only obscure silhouettes. Blackout roller shades are specifically designed to block out light and offer maximum privacy, available in both vinyl and fabric options. All fabric blackout shades include a vinyl backing to ensure full light blockage and privacy. However, you might see light gaps on the sides of blackout shades, depending on their mounting.
Will my roller shades have light gaps?
Depending on the mounting position of your roller shades, you might experience light gaps on the sides. The shade material is about 1¼” narrower than the mechanism, which can create small gaps on each side when mounted inside the window frame. If you have further questions about light gaps with roller shades, please consult our Design Consultant for guidance.
What are the advantages of roller shades?
While roller shades have been around for some time, they have significantly evolved in recent years. They are user-friendly and provide a sleek, yet impactful appearance. With a range of fabrics from understated textured whites to vibrant floral patterns, roller shades are a versatile choice that complements any decor.
